On a very cold evening, a great match had by all.

Hertford won the toss and choose to bowl first. Charlotte hitting the only 4 for Welwyn. Followed by a great partnership of Nathan and Finn who scored 26.

The bowling for Hertford was fantastic with wickets from Joseph, Mitchell, David, James, and maiden overs by Joseph and Adam.

Welwyn's turn to bowl with the only wicket taken by Adam. Hertford's batting was very strong with lots of running from great partnerships by Conner and Jack with 30 and James and David with 26.

With some great fielding by both teams.

A great team effort for both sides.

Welwyn Garden city choose to bowl first,with William hitting the wicket on his first over. Then followed by Nathan who bowled a fantastic 3 wickets. With the bowling staying strong, Matthew getting a wicket on his first ball. Then Alex getting the last wicket of the inings. Charlie W hitting two 4's and lots of singles and Charlie also getting lots of quick runs.

Hertingfordbury's turn to bowl with a super run out by Felix then wickets from Harry and Louis. But Welwyn batted well with Charlotte hitting a 4 then followed by Finn hitting two 4's and getting lots of quick singles with Nathan, making it a 33 partnership. Soon after Sam hit two 4's and carried on the great running for Welwyn.

Welwyn Garden City opened the batting with the two Matthews, Matthew B hitting (15) and Matthew F hitting (9) a partnership of (28) runs a great start. Bowling well and enjoying the lovely sun shine Zac and Joe. Then Alex and Adam Keeping the runs going. Daniel and Sam next in with a partnership of (14)but a wicket soon taken by Jake. Last in Nathan (8)

Finnley (15) a partnership of (23) Not without the loss of (2) wickets taken by Josh.

Datchworths turn to bat with Liam,Miles,Jake,Josh all hitting (4s) but with Nathan taking the first wicket and Finn and Nathan getting (2) run outs. Followed by Sam (2) wickets, Daniel (3) wickets, Adam (1) wicket Alex a run out and (1) wicket. Followed by good straight bowling by Matthew F and Matthew B.

Welwyn Garden City 294-2 (20pts) beat Sawbridgeworth 3 236-5 (2pts) by 58 runs

Welwyn Garden City batted first. Matthew hit two 4s as he and Daniel

opened with a partnership of 21. The second pair, Sam J and Adam,

kept the runs going despite good bowling and a wicket for Nathan.

Sam W and Alex added 22 and the final pair, Finn and Charlotte ran

brilliantly to build a partnership of 42. WGC scored a total of 294-2

with Nathan getting one wicket and Callum pulling off a great run out

for the other.

Sawbridgeworth started steadily against tight bowling from Charlotte

who conceded only 4 runs in two overs. Harry and Nathan produced the best batting for Sawbo with a partnership of 15, but run outs by Finn and Sam W and good bowling from Sam J and Adam meant that runs were hard to come by.

Good bowling at the end saw Matthew get 2 wickets and Daniel 1 wicket with 3 of the last 4 overs being maidens.

Sawbridgeworth kept trying right to the end and the match was played

in an excellent spirit.
