01 Jun, 2009Digswell Park shines for County matchOn behalf of the Hertfordshire County Cricket Association, I would like to thank the Club and particularly those members who contributed in all manner of ways to staging the County match with Norfolk at Digswell Park on Sunday. WGCCC was new to most of our visitors, and they were full of praise for the attractive ground, the quality of the playing facilities and for our hospitality. Glorious weather and a large (for Digswell Park) crowd made this a day to remember, even though Hertfordshire were beaten !
It was of course particularly pleasing to me , as a member of WGCCC, and so thank you again to all concerned, particularly those involved in ground preparation, making ready the pavilion and, of course, the catering.

18 Mar, 2009£301 raised with WaitroseThe club has received £301 from Waitrose, Welwyn Garden City following the recent, month-long, fundraising effort.
Thanks to everyone who shopped at Waitrose and chose the club as their good cause.
